The organizing team in Laško, gathered around its head, NPC Slovenia president Damijan Lazar, is happy to take on any challenges, often called problems. That was the case last year with the logistics, when uninterrupted continuous bus transportation had to be provided between Rimske Toplice, Laško and Celje. A few meetings and some sleepless nights when heads had to be put together brought results. The same will be dome once again this year, when the number of participants has surpassed 700 due to great interest in the event, and hotel accommodations in Laško and Rimske Toplice will again be full. Sound and picture from the green town on the banks of the Savinja River will be broadcast live online and the tournament is expected to attract media attention (including the national radio and television RTV Slovenija and Slovenian Press Agency), won in previous years through systematic work and development. “We have shocked the world and the International Table Tennis Federation once more. We will host the biggest tournament in history in Laško, when it comes to para table tennis or non-disabled tournaments!” Gorazd Vecko concludes with pride.

The tournament significantly contributes to Slovenia’s international reputation of an excellent destination for active experiences, dedicated to sustainability, while it also positions Slovenia as a boutique and authentic destination.
